Pogo's Story...
Hi There!
My name is Pogo and I'm a spunky 1 year old Italian Greyhound. I need a new home because my mom was working so much that I was spending way too much time alone in my crate. Don't get me wrong, I'm a good boy in there, but I would much rather cuddle up on the couch for a romantic evening with my human. I just love to be with people, and they just can't get enough of me! And I'm not choosy. Oooh no, I love humans in all shapes, ages, and sizes. I'm also a man of adventure..... I love to cruise around in the family car, as well as peruse the neighborhood on a nice walk. I'm polite on my leash, too. I'm a friendly guy who gets along well with dogs and cats. If you have the time, I may be the one for you... and I make a mean lasagna! :)

Since I have lots of energy to burn, a home with a fenced yard for me to run laps is ideal. Another playful, energetic playmate would be great too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pogo, a Avon Italian Greyhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Avon, or seeking a Italian Greyhound puppy from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
