My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please do not apply for Chevy if you ever want to walk down the street in peace again because this boy is such a showstopper, you're sure to be asked about him wherever you go. But if you're looking for a lovable happy teddy bear, Chevy may just be your boy!! Chevy is a lumbering, affectionate guy, a real "mush" . . . when he wants to be!! Chevy's favorite place to be is right in your lap, so make room for one big baby!! At playtime at his foster home, Chevy loves to stretch his long legs with a gallop around the open yard with all the other dogs at his foster home, or engage one of them in a battle of wills in a game of "tug o' war". Like many Shepherd's, he's very smart -- sometimes a little too smart -- so he will benefit from an experienced owner who knows how to set limits for him. Possibly because of his beginnings as a stray scrounging for meals, his weakness is "people food" (especially meat) so we worry that little children walking around with food in their hands will be too tempting and he might grab little fingers along with the food he'll snatch out of their hands, so we prefer to find him a home with teens and older. We are not certain of his mix, but he is gorgeous and healthy, on his way to being housetrained. We think he is between 4 - 5 months old, he weighs about 40 pounds (a Mini-Leonberger?) with more growing to do. He may never be a true Giant breed, but he will always be jolly! If you can give this big boy a home where size doesn't matter, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting included in his $300 adoption fee. Chevy is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.
