JACK DANIELS's Story...
This is Jack Daniels, a full-blooded Chocolate Lab. He is 7 years old and weighs about 65 pounds. He has been with his current owner for 5 years, but due to an injury to her arm, he is too big for her to handle now. For this reason, she has tied him out in the yard. Jack is restless and unhappy being so stationary and not able to come inside anymore. Jack is house trained and and has good house manners. He is a very, very friendly dog! He is good with adults, kids and other dogs. We don't know about cats. Jack walks well on a leash and knows some commands like sit, shake and stay. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations. Jack needs an active family and lots of space to run. A family with older children would be ideal. Jack is an HHS dog. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

JACK DANIELS, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
