Jake's Story...
Sweet little Jake came to us as an owner surrender from a family who didn't have time for him. He is a great little guy who gets along well with all of the other foster dogs and cats where he is now. Jake is GREAT with kids! He loves to be right in the middle of them! Jake is 1 year old and weighs 14 pounds and is ready for someone who DOES have time for him!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Hamburg Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Hamburg, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Hamburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
