Oakley's Story...
Oakley is an incredibly loving, sweet and gentle, 55-pound, two-year-old, mellow and snuggly, female red and white pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian. Oakley was dropped off at a kennel after she had obviously just had litter after litter of puppies … Oakley loves cuddling with her humans of all ages, chewing her bones, playing ball and getting belly rubs. She’s great in the car and wonderful on leash. She is full of kisses and tail wags – for everyone except other female dogs. Oakley is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly adopt Oakley, please contact Joanne at 630-231-6860. She is being kenneled in West Chicago, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oakley, a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
