My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Felix is a 9-month old pure chocolate lab puppy that weighs about 68 lbs. He is very independent but absolutely loves cuddling when he gets done running around. He can be a little skittish around new people, especially if they run up to him but he will warm up to them. I have encouraged him to "go say hi" when there is someone he is skittish around. He has a very sweet personality and is a very good listener! He knows commands such as "sit", "shake", "stay", "leave it" (when he has something in his mouth he shouldn't have in there), "down" and he also knows what the words 'breakfast' and 'supper' mean! He is a great traveler and has taken multiple trips back and forth to Colorado and Kansas. He has been well socialized with kids, adults, other dogs and has had some exposure to cats. He is house trained and loves spending time outside. He is great at fetch but sometimes loses his concentration and will leave the ball/stick in the middle of the field and run back to me without bringing the object back. He is a great running partner and loves the exercise. I rescued him from a puppy farm and he was 6.5 lbs when I got him at 8 weeks. He has grown into a beautiful chocolate lab and loves learning new tricks. He has had all of the necessary shots, vaccinations and has a Home Again microchip. He is not fixed yet as the vet told me that fixing large breed dogs too early can stunt their growth. I think at 68 lbs he is ready for that procedure! I rescued him and his brother Jett thinking that I would be able to give them a life long home with love and activity but my circumstances are preventing me from keeping them. I am hoping to find someone who is active that can give Felix the life and love he deserves!
