Polka Dot's Story...
This handsome guy is a mix of rat terrier/doxie and Jack Russell, 3 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. Polka Dot is a very playful pup and bounds like a rabbit after his toys. He may be a little shy at first but it doesn't take him long to be in anyone's lap- he just loves to snuggle!
He gives tons of kisses and will be a perfect companion who will be following your every step. He doesn't have separation anxiety but he prefers to be next to you rather than in his own space. He walks well on a leash and listens quite nicely even when he thinks he must go investigate a smell along the way. He has a gentle soul and an easy going guy all around. He is not really fond of cats at first, but learns to accept them quickly. Polka Dot would make a great addition to a family with kids.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polka Dot, a Encino Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Encino, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
