Bentley's Story...
Bentley is 2 1/2 years old sable German Shepherd that his current owner has asked us to help find a new home for. They are moving and would rather find Bentley a home where he would get more attention than what they can provide at this time. He loves kids, is fine with current owner's cats, pot belly pig, and other 2 gsds in the home, but has been reactive to other dogs. He is house trained, crate trained, incredibly smart, eager to learn, and has a high drive. He is good and doesn't try to snitch food from hands and listens when told no. He knows the sit command with vocal or hand signal, and knows down on hand to floor signal. His favorite toy is a laser light and he will do anything for a treat. He's a very vocal boy, barks at strangers and when excited. He will jump in water with no reservations and fetch for hours.

If you are interested in adopting Bentley or any of our other foster dogs, please email us at Bentley's adoption fee is $250.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea preventative and have been microchipped. We require all of our dogs to be kept as inside pets and we only adopt out within a 2 hour radius of Knoxville, TN.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Knoxville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
