Hey there! My name is Captain and I came from an animal control facility in Savannah, Georgia in 2011. My estimated birthdate is May, 2010. I was adopted to a loving family shortly after my arrival but was returned to Happily Ever After in January, 2013 because I had a little trouble with stranger and dog anxieties. The awesome staff and volunteers at HEA have been working with me and I am getting much better with people I meet for the first time (my fear is mostly with men or people who move too fast…I prefer to do the approach rather than being approached). After I get to know you I will be your friend for life! I can also have play time now with a few other dogs but still have to be introduced slowly as I have some that I just don’t care for. When my anxieties aren’t giving me trouble, I am a well-mannered boy. I would do very well with a strong leader to help me become the dog I know I can be! They say I am a great snuggler and would be a fantastic friend. I would love it if you would stop by, say hi and give me a chance to meet you and show you what a great guy I am! Love and hugs, Captain **This pet is located at HEA’s Sanctuary in Marion, WI
