My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, and Toto don’t often show up at Animatch h. Although there are exceptions, we mostly get dogs that other people have inadequately socialized, ineffectively “trained”, and treated badly. Many of our adoptees have been pushed from one lousy situation to another. They are like Tessy and need to learn to keep all fours on the ground, to come when called, and to not use human hand hands as a chew toy. Please don’t come to Animatch or any rescue looking for a “perfectly, trained dog”. However, please do come if you want to help dogs like Tessy—to give them the love and respect they so deserve. Give Tessy and our other adoptees a chance and they will reward you in ways you never thought possible.

Tessy is a 10-month-old, rambunctious, Lab-x, who needs a family that will provide her with the exercise, training, and commitment she ought to have. Tessy is one of our lucky adoptees who have been given the opportunity of receiving some much need training at F.I.Q. (L’Ecole de Formation des intervenants canins du Quebec) in Laval. We are very grateful to Alain Bonneau and Virginie Forest for their continued support and assistance in working with our adoptees. We have no history on Tessy, she was a stray that ended up at the pound. She has recently undergone surgery on her eye for *entropian and has made a full recovery. It’s the start of a brand new day for Tessy and she’s ready to continue her journey to a forever home. Are you ready to commit to this beautiful Yellow Lab? Please fill in the adoption form if you would like to adopt Tessy.

* Entropion is an abnormal “ rolling-in” of the eyelid. This rolling-in causes hairs to rub on the cornea (the clear surface of the eye).
