Rusty's Story...
NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS.
Boy am I a lucky dog! I was almost run over in the street when my foster mom saw me and asked if I wanted a ride! So, I jumped in and now am safe and sound. I am crate trained and am almost completely housebroken. I am fostered with other dogs and cats and am getting along very well! My foster mom says that I jumped right into bed with her and made myself at home! I am looking for a wonderful family who will make me their inside companion so I can be safe forever. I hope to meet them soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Houston Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever breeders who help with Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
