Katie's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting these kitties, please go to Click Here and fill out an application.

Katie is a beautiful and incredibly affectionate young cat. Each day when her foster arrives home from work, Katie spends at least half an hour purring and wanting to be petted. While she does not particularly enjoy being picked up and carried around, she does LOVE people and attention. Katie is quiet and sleeps unnoticed each night in her foster's bed. She loves other cats and is often seen cuddling and napping with her sister Froggy and her foster's own cat every day.

As Katie's sister Froggy is a little shyer than herself, we recommend that Katie and FROGGY be adopted together. However, Katie can also be adopted on her own to a home with another cat or to someone with lots of time for her. Both would do well in a quiet house and would make fabulous pets for a lucky adopter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
