Baby Girl's Story...
Baby Girl is being described by everyone a a very, sweet young lady. She is 2 yrs old and already has had a very hard life. Two litters of pups and dumped by the road. Found by a very nice lady who contacted BHRA. She is currently at the vet. She is malnourished and on vitamins, treated for bad fleas, hookworms and some hairloss on her ears She will be spayed soon but we wanted to get her healthier prior to that. No food agression or any agression. Just as sweet Baby Girl. And she answered to this name immediately. Looking for a wonderful forever home. Can you be that for her?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Girl, a Northport Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Northport, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Northport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northport paves the way for another one to be saved.
