Amys Callie's Story...
This adorable little calico is Callie. Callie is a unique calico in that she is gray, orange and white instead of black, orange and white. She is adorable! Callie and her brothers and sisters were born on 3/23/13 to Amy who will also be available for adoption once she is done taking care of her babies. Amy had 7 kittens and the wonderful foster family is keeping one of them and the shelter is getting the other 6. There are 3 girls and 3 boys, all just cuter then the next. They have been raised with other cats and dogs and are very well socialized. All of them use the litter box already and are just happy, friendly kittens. Remember kittens go fast so get your applications in soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amys Callie, a Marseilles Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marseilles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marseilles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marseilles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marseilles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marseilles paves the way for another one to be saved.
