Sasha's Story...
Sasha is a sweet little girl with a very gentle personality. She was pulled from Ashe County Animal Control with her brother Simon and is in a Humane Society foster home.
Sasha is about 7 months old, spayed and current on all her vaccinations. She is feline leukemia negative. Sasha needs to be an indoor only cat, because she is timid and will run and hide if let outdoors.
She is great with other cats and young children. She is also good with dogs, once she gets to know them. She loves to play with feather toys and cuddle in bed or on a sofa with her human friend! She will be a rather small cat when fully grown (currently weighs just under 5 lbs).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Jefferson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jefferson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Jefferson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jefferson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jefferson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jefferson paves the way for another one to be saved.
