Dexter's Story...
Dexter is a Lab mix -- he may have some Pointer or Chow in him too. Dexter weighs 44 lbs. and is 1.5 years old. He is neutered, and UTD with all vaccines. Dexter rides nicely in the car and walks obediently on a leash. He is housebroken and loves to give hugs and kisses. Dexter gets along with some dogs -- he should be fine as long as he is properly introduced. He is ready to find a new home and start a new life. Dexter is accepting applications -- please submit yours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Edgewater Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Edgewater, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Edgewater.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edgewater already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edgewater breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edgewater paves the way for another one to be saved.
