Hi! My name is Charlotte, but you can call me Char for short!
I'm just over 5 years old and people describe me as kind, quiet and soft. Prior to my new life in my foster home, I was used as a breeder which is why you can tell just by looking at me that I used to be a mama. Everyone at Passion for Pitties has been taking great care of me and I know my forever home is out there! Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
When I'm with my human family I enjoy relaxing on the couch (my foster mom is always telling me “You are too big to be a lapdog!” but hey, a girl’s gotta try!) and getting out for walks with my 3 year old foster brother. Even though I am older than my brother, sometimes I act more like a puppy then he is! My favorite game with him is tug-o-war and wrestling. In the morning, even though he may not want to play, I can be pretty persuasive! We can get quite rambunctious but it’s great to have a friend at home with me. I am very comfortable on a walk and my favorite thing is when I see a bird, I get very alert and enjoy making them fly away! I do get a little nervous around dogs who bark and yap at me, but most of the time, I am calm and relaxed.
I can be shy with new people at first, but if you give me time to get to know you I warm up quickly and will quickly be your best friend! I am housebroken and can be left to roam the house – don’t worry, I am well past the destructive phase! I've met kids as young as 3 and as old as teenagers. I am not that interested in small children but I would do well in a family with older children who would be willing to give me LOTS of attention and exercise!
Everyone says I am a fast learner and already I know “Sit,” “Stay” and am wonderful in the car. I make them laugh every day when I fall asleep at night and snore!
My foster family knows me pretty well and they think the perfect family for me would be one that is around lot to hang out with me and having another dog at home would be great since I love having my brother around to snuggle with when my parents aren’t around.
