Dominic is content now, but had quite a traumatic time before he got to the shelter. One minute he was going for a car ride, and the next he was tossed out the window on Krome Avenue in Homestead. Thankfully he rolled under the car, rather than the car tire of his rescuer, and lives to tell his story. He is now resting at APR and would love to meet you. Let's show Dominic that not all humans are as horrible as the one who did this to him. He deserves to know what a loving family is. Dominic is between 5 to 6 months old, about 4 pounds and loves to converse with humans.

PLEASE NOTE: We require all interested parties to come to the shelter to meet the pet, complete an adoption application, and interview with our Director. We do not do same day adoptions or ship animals. For additional information on our adoption policies, visiting hours and directions please go to Abandoned Pet Rescue.

About Abandoned Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

Abandoned Pet Rescue is a 501 ( c ) (3) IRS tax-exempt, qualified charitable organization that rescues, shelters, and cares for countless abandoned and abused animals and finds them new homes. We have been serving the South Florida community since 1996. Our no-kill animal shelter is located in Ft. Lauderdale, where volunteers of all ages help perform the duties of running the shelter and our operations on a day-to-day basis, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between animals and the community. By conducting neighborhood sweeps, APR helps reduce the pet over population by spaying and neutering feral cats with the use of a mobile veterinary facility.
