Sammie's Story...
Sammy has been in the same home for his entire life approximately 10-11 years, and he has always been an affectionate loyal cat. He purrs and lets you know that he's happy, and wants attention from those around him. He is a large cat who weighs close to 15 pounds! Sammy has been around dogs and children without any issues. He is a beautiful orange colour with streaks of lighter orange. He also has freckles on the tip of his nose and bright green eyes. Sammy will make a great companion cat for anyone of any age. Sammy is neutered, house-trained and up-to-date on his shots. He is bonded to his son Chappy and must be adopted with him to the same family.

If you wish to apply to adopt Sammy (and Chappy), please visit our website at and click on his bio for an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammie, a Duart Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Duart, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Duart.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duart already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duart breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duart paves the way for another one to be saved.
