My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here she comes walking down the street – Lacey – She looks absolutely stunning. Lacy is a GSD/Pry mix about 3 yrs. old. She has the alert look of the GSD but the silky soft fur of the Great Pyrenees. Her feet are also Pyrenees feet with the hairy long toes and double dews. Lacey loves to be with people. She will sit back and ride in your car with you all day or watch a movie on the couch. Lacey is very soft mouthed and will ask to be petted by sitting for you. Lacey will love to take that long walk with you, as everyone who passes will look at the stunning beautiful lady you have by your side. She definitely wants to please.

Her temperament tends to be more of the GSD than the Pyrenees. She is somewhat dominant with other dogs. Lacey will though immediately listen when she does begin to stare at another dog. When you do correct her she will listen and not ignore you. Whoever had her before bred her several times but she does not have to worry about that ever again. She is highly fearful of hoses and water coming out of them but will jump in the wading pool and get her feet wet. Lacey is also uncomfortable around storms. She does not do damage but you can tell she does not like them.
I would not place Lacey with a home with small children as she has the habit of wanting to groom you like another dog and that can be a nip on people. Children over 13 would be fine. She would do best as an only dog due to her dominance but with the right owner she may be able to integrate into a home with a more submissive dog. As long as she was in a home with no dog she could easily be with someone who just needs some basic obedience training with her and had some knowledge of GSDs. If she were to be integrated into a home with more animals the owner will need to be experienced.

One thing is for sure- who ever adopts Lacey when they are in public with her, heads will turn to see –who is that lady – it’s Lacey.
