Hi, I'm Buster Brown. I am a beagle in every sense of the word. I love it outside where I can run and play and watch for the neighborhood squirrels that like to tease me by running up and down the fence. I am a beagle so I love to bark. I didn’t hunt the way I was suppose to but I hunt the way I want. I am a funny boy, I like to lay on my back and just roll and roll or even get in the pool in the summer. Beagles aren’t suppose to like water!! I play with the other fosters and we have fun dragging things out of our foster mom's house.

I am a shy boy. I am realizing that all people aren’t mean to dogs and I can trust them to pet me, although you have to do it slowly and be patient with me.

Children really scare me, all that screaming and teasing the do. I am scared of men because they are the ones that mistreated me.

I have come a long way and will let my foster mom play with me some, but I still need time, understanding and love. I know with time I could be your forever dog and love you to death.

*Needs fenced yard
*Needs another dog

About Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit, all volunteer, non-euthanizing rescue group out of Richmond, Virginia. We foster out of our homes to socialize the dogs and puppies to a family setting. Adults are house broken, crate trained and up-to-date on all of their medical before they go to their new homes. Puppies are started with their shots and wormings, depending on the age of the puppy as to how much medical is done on them before they go to their new families. All animals will be spayed/neutered before adoption. We rescue all breeds of dogs and puppies, from little ones to big breeds!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We adopt our dogs in the Richmond, Virginia, area. Our stand locations are as follows- Pet Smart at Libbie and Broad on Saturdays from 11:00-3:00

Our Adoption Process...

There is an application process, including filling out the application. We submit it to our screening board and they will call your references, vet's office (if you have other pets), and interview you and your family. Once approved, they call the foster home and give the information to them to set up a time to deliver your new family member and to do a home visit. At that time there is a contract that needs to be read and signed. We also provide you with the pets medical records, the pet will already be spayed/neutered and microchipped, we also give a vet visit certificate. There is a $175.00 adoption fee that is due at time of delivery.
