My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hellooooo Beagle Lovers! My name is Brownie and I can't wait to meet you!
I'm one of BREW's super special Seniors, but I'm far from retired. See, I joined BREW after my family who I was with for 4 years, found out I had some expensive medical stuff, and I had to go back to the Humane Society (it’s ok, they are nice there too!). One of the first things I had done, after my foster parents picked me up, was to get all my yucky teeth pulled (17, a new BREW record!), and got medicine for my ear infection. Boy do I sure feel better now, and my foster folks love the little snarly smile I give
when I'm just hanging around being happy and resting. I'm loving the second chance I got through Midwest BREW, and I'm very excited to find my furever home with their help.
I'm ok with being around cats and other dogs. I pretty much just mind my own business, and find a cozy spot on the couch or in a chair, and sleep till it’s time to get up and play, go outside for a walk, or dinner time. I did have almost twenty teeth pulled, but I'm doing better than ever and will challenge anyone interested to an eating contest (I may look small, but I can pack it away!)
One thing I'm really enjoying at my foster house is getting walked on a regular basis, and I'm told I've been doing so well with no accidents! I know I'm up against a lot of competition with some of the younger dogs, but did you know that -like wine and cheese- Beagles get better as they age? And wait till you hear me speak, I don't do it very much at all, but when I do it sounds really short and funny (hey! I'm smart enough to know when and when not to use it!).
If I had my wishes I would find my furever home with a person or persons who are a little bit older, like me, and really like to pay attention to me as well as give me space so I can catch up on my naps.
I do fine being left alone, and would be ok if I was with other dogs or on my own, as long as I get the love and care from my people.
Now it’s your turn, do I sound like I might be your style?
I'll be at Beaglefest, just look for the handsome older fella with the snarly smile!
