I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Houston, TX area: “Maddie” is in a kennel waiting for a home of her own. She was born around Sept. 2011. She is a sweet but shy girl, found living on the streets of Houston, dodging traffic and grabbing a meal every morning at a feral cat colony. With gentle handling, Maddie blossoms and bonds heavily to her person. She also LOVES other dogs. Because of her time spent with the feral cat colony, she’s also very good around cats, in fact, she lets them boss her around. Maddie has been through obedience class and knows a few commands. She likes to go for car rides, walks in the people park, trips to the dog park, splashing in the kiddie wading pool, and likes going to Petco and Petsmart. She would very much like to live in a real home and have a canine sibling to play with and snuggle with. She needs a patient pet parent that will let her come along slowly and not try to rush her in to new situations. Once she trusts you, Maddie only wants to please you and be with you. She is a pointer / hound mix, fully vetted and ready for a family! email@example.com

Rescue Group Info...
We are an organization that supports animal welfare. We are the voice to those animals that have no one to advocate for them.
These animals have been abandoned in boarding facilities, in Houston and surrounding areas.
"Kennel life is NO LIFE for any animal, it is lonely and heart breaking.
Sleeping alone each night hearing amplified barks of other dogs.
Having to go potty, but no one hears your cries.
The pain of being in there another night, and another and another.
Cats meowing in their cages, wanting to stretch out.
Seeing animals come and go and no one ever comes for you.
Wondering how did I end up here and how do I get out!
We are their voice now and we will not stop until they all have homes and families of their own".
