Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Missy and I'm an 11 month old female American Pit Bull Terrier. I am 30 pounds of face kissing, wiggle butt dog. I was found on the streets of Compton and brought to the Downey Shelter until the PRC rescued me. I scored a perfect score on my temperament test while at Downey and was a staff and volunteer favorite. I get along great with all sizes of other dogs, seem to be fine with cats and love children. I like to ride in the car, walk perfect on leash and have mastered the pit bull zoomies to keep you laughing. I will play fetch for hours and then be a total lap dog. I love french fries and belly rubs. I will be best as part of your active family as an indoor dog. I really enjoy going places and being out in public and would prefer a family who wants to include me in such outings. I'm spayed, microchipped and up to date on my shots. Come down to the PRC and meet me in person!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
