Luke's Story...
Luke is a beautiful 12-week-old tuxedo kitten. He and his littermates were found discarded in a dumpster when just a few weeks old. They were rescued and raised in a loving foster home with small children, dogs, and other cats. Luke is the last of his litter and is looking for his new home. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is on flea prevention. He's litterbox trained and very friendly. The adoption fee is only $60 and allows us to help more animals. You may see him at the Weatherford PetSmart Adoption Center, located at the shopping center at I-20 exit 408. Call 817-598-0702 for directions and hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Weatherford Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
