Karma's Story...
Karma is a chocolate lab mix that is just over a year in age. Check out those gorgeous amber eyes! She is typical of a lab which translates to very eager to please and loves meeting new people. She just arrived to rescue due to her family moving that could not take her with them sadly. We wish would could tell you more about her houseskills, however, her family kept her outside with a dog house. Don't let that stopy you from considering her as a new family member though because adult dogs learn house manners quicker than puppies do along with the assistance of using a crate for training. Karma knows how to sit and give paw! See she is a smart girl! Applications to adopt this lovely lady can be found at www.henricohumane.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karma, a Richmond Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
