TOBY's Story...
Toby is an adorable shih tzu that is approximately three years old. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Moreno Valley. Toby weighs about 13 pounds.

Toby's foster mom says "He's great with other dogs and kids; is a little wary of cats. Toby has a calm temperament and will bark if he wants something."

We require an application, home check, contract, spay/neuter or deposit (if too young for spay/neuter at time of adoption) and adoption donation. TOBY 's adoption donation is $250.00

To meet TOBY, please go to our website, www.BFFK9Rescue.org to the adopt page to learn more about our adoption process, policies and to download or complete an online application. Please complete online application (make sure you answer all questions and get sent confirmation on screen) or email to adopt@BffK9Rescue.org.

We make every effort to contact you ASAP. Emails will get quickest response.

Applications are not first come, they are based on best fit for the household and our BFF pup.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TOBY, a Mission Viejo Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
