Robin's Story...
Robin has taken some hard knocks lately, and yet, despite that, she is as dear a dog as you'll ever meet. She arrived at another shelter so sick, she couldn't walk. The vets discovered a raging bladder infection and a bladder stone the size of a golf ball. She must have suffered terribly but all that is behind her. She was operated on successfully to remove the stone and she feels 1,000% better. Not only can she walk again, she has a spring in her step.We believe her age to be about 4 years old and 45lbs. She has a beautiful face that shows how grateful she is to be alive and feeling better. She is also currently on medication for her bladder.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robin, a Newaygo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
