Phat Cat's Story...
Howdy!! It’s me, Phat Cat, and I am one little butterball of cuteness. I am 12-years-old and FULL of love. When I came to Young at Heart I had been neglected by my family, was overweight and my beautiful coat was a mess. I’ve been given a cute short haircut, put on a healthy diet and look great now! All the wonderful volunteers are helping me to watch my weight and keep my coat in tiptop shape. Since my coat is long, I’ll need you to help me brush it but the good news is that I love to be brushed, I am such a good kitty. I really enjoy the company of the other kitties and am so excited that I have been given the chance to spend my golden years with a forever family. Could you be that family? Now that I’ve let you know that I’m a sweet boy and I’m good with other kitties, I’ll tick off the rest of the list by letting you know I’m good with my litterbox and am as healthy as can be. So, what else could you ask for? And, why are you waiting? Come on over to the cat center and bring me home. I can’t wait to meet you! Love, Phat Cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phat Cat, a Palatine Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
