Ares's Story...
Meet Ares. He's a 1-1/2 year old, 10 pound terrier/spaniel mix. He's up to date with vaccinations as of March 2013, heartworm negative and neutered. Ares knows basic obedience commands, is crate trained, leash trained & housebroken. Ares is a little timid with men because he hasn't been around many men, but with his sweet personality and patience, he should be fine. Due to his small size, we feel he shouldn't be in a home with small children. He gets along well with all dogs and cats. Ares is a friendly, playful & energetic little boy who loves to run & play tug-of-war. He loves to snuggle close to you & loves for you to give him massages. He also gives you High 5's. He's a smart boy who's very eager to please, so there are more tricks he would love to learn. Ares is ready to go home with you now. Would you like to make this ton of fun pup the newest member of your family? Rehome Fee: $100.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ares, a Baton Rouge Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
