Hazel's Story...
INITIAL BIO 05/25/2013: Drumroll please!!!!........ Meet Hazel! Hazel is simply.... awesome :) She is a 4.9 lb 9 year old baby girl who is being fostered in Miami, FL. Hazel was rescued off the streets and brought to a high kill shelter where UYR saved her. Sadly, this little girl was in such rough shape that she had to have all of her matted hair shaved off. It's hard to tell she's a yorkie, but if you look at her "before" pictures, you can see how gorgeous she is and will be again!

Hazel has only been in foster care for a day. Here's what we know so far..... So far no accidents in the house. Only pottying outside. Hazel likes other dogs. She doesn't bark much. She loves to be in your lap (and nudges you when she wants a belly rub or a scratch). She is a doll baby who just wants to be loved. She doesn't look her age AT ALL. She's already been spayed and had a dental. She's UTD on her vaccines and is already chipped. She is a very good girl and would be perfect for a home who wants a lap baby to love. Because of her small size, no kids please. Thanks!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Fairfax Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
