Oreo's Story...
I grew up with my best buddy, Wafer, so when the folks at ADOPT put us in separate rooms, I was so scared I didn't know what to do. I hid in a corner and started pulling out my beautiful long fur. Then the staff realized what the problem was. When Wafer was brought into my room, I was so happy I couldn't leave his side. I don't have to pull my hair out now. We're both quiet, affectionate fellows who love attention. We are both two paw de-claws so no worry about the sofa. Have you got a place for two handsome, affectionate fellows?

Oreo came to ADOPT in May of 2013 from DuPage County Animal Control. He was born around May of 2008.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Naperville Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
