Jack's Story:
This little one was found abandoned in the Arizona desert this spring. He was under a bush, thirsty, hungry, scared. He was shy and didn't want to come to us when we found him, but perked right up when he figured out he was going to be okay. His family must not have loved him left him behind. He is just a sweet little baby, but didn't have tags or a microchip. He is a friendly doggy, but shows signs of being abused. He really likes car trips and the water. We've taken him to the lake with our other dogs and he likes to swim. He's a little timid at first, but does not show any signs of aggression. There is lots of licking and tail wagging. He's good with other dogs and shows submissive behavior. He does not nip or bite, but he may run away and yelp if he is approached too quickly or aggressively by people. We started working with training him on basic commands, but there are some obstacles from his apparent history. He needs someone who will play with him, teach him and treat him well.
We are asking a adoption fee of $30 and a home visit to be sure he's going to be ok in the new place. This is a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue. If interested, please contact desert_night_sky@hotmail.com.
