Daisy's Story...
"Well, hello there! My name is DAISY, and I'm a friendly and active Labrador Retriever-mix young lady. I'm only one-and-a-half years old, so you can bet that I'm a lot of fun! I enjoy playing with bigger dogs and older kids, and I'd be a great pet in an active household. I certainly enjoy taking walks, so maybe we could get our exercise together as we explore the neighborhood (and beyond!). I know how to sit on command, and I'm quite well-mannered for my young age. I'd need a yard in my new home, and I'd love to have a cuddly dog bed in the house so that I could stay close to my person or family. Our shelter staff is pretty sure that I've already been house trained, but they're still watching me to be certain. Won't you head on over to the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can get to know each other better? We could hang out in the shelter's lovely play yard. I'll be waiting for you, so please come soon. Love, Daisy" Kennel #25

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
