Harry Potter's Story...
Harry Potter is a snuggly sweet, peaceful, hunky, chubby, chatty, loving and playful, five-year-old, 17-pound, male tabby cat with an extremely soft coat looking for a loving guardian. Harry Potter is sharing a foster home with four other cats and three mellow dogs and he has proven to be a wonderfully easy-going cat who gets along with everyone. Harry Potter loves to roll and play with a catnip toy, or look out the windows at the squirrels and birds. He also enjoys a game of chase with other cats, or snuggling on a soft blanket or with his foster mom. And, he’s super easy to transport … he jumps right in his carrier like a good sport. He also has good house manners and uses his litter box and scratching post faithfully. He even lets you trim his nails.

To meet and possibly adopt Harry Potter, please contact his foster mom Janet at janet@janetwrightreadings.com or 773-728-7884. Harry Potter is very healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and virus-tested. His adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued dogs and cats of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry Potter, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
