Captain Chance's Story...
Captain Chance weighs 14 pounds and is five years old. He is very sweet and just wants to be near you. He doesn't bark much, walks well on a leash and is house trained. He lost an eye and an ear, but he can hear well out of both ears. He is still getting used to only having one eye and will sometimes bump into you, but is doing extremely well. He is perky when he is outside. He is not aggressive to people or other dogs and is actually pretty submissive.

Captain Chance is currently in a foster home in Los Angeles awaiting his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Captain Chance, a Vista Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Vista, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
