Sam's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sam's Story...
Sam was found as a stray in rural Tennessee. He has now been neutered, all shots and heartwom negative and is ready for a new home. Around 1-2 yrs old, Sam is very sweet and playful and loves other dogs. These large scent Hounds truly do make wonderful family pets. They are smart, and easily trained. They are affectionate and very loyal. They naturally love children and can be a kid's Best Friend. They do have a good energy level and need to be walked/exercised regularly and a fenced yard is best as their strong sense of smell might lead them away if not restrained by a fence. If you open your heart and home to Sam, you won't regret it! For more info or to fill out an application please contact lorainecm@comcast.net Thank you

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Brattleboro Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
