UPDATED BIO 06/03/2013: Lola Bell and Penny Lane are both 5 years old; they are being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL. Lola weighs 10 lbs 6 oz. Here’s what she had to say recently:
Lola here……….I’m the one who gives lots and lots of kisses. Foster Mom says I have a lizard tongue. What does that mean? But I am Foster Dad’s girl…….I follow him all around, I love to sit with him and snuggle, and watch something called baseball and hockey on this box that makes lots of noise. My sister Penny and I love raw carrots, that is our favorite treat. We need to stay together, and we sleep together on a big bed just for us. I love going on walks with Penny, and I love wearing fancy harnesses and looking pretty. I prance around when I feel pretty. I am also a silly girl, and love to play with Faith & Daisy, the other foster girlies in the home. I love to play with Kitty Cleo, too. Wouldn’t you love to have two beautiful and sweet little girlies to love? I promise you won’t be sorry you adopted us!

Update 04/09/13: Lola Bell and Penny Lane are both 5 years old; they are being fostered in North Port, FL.
Lola came into UYR weighing a very obese 13 lbs.4 oz; she has now slimmed down to 10 lbs 6 oz ~~ eating healthy! Yahoo! Foster Mom said that Lola could lose a little bit more weight to be at her ideal weight. Lola enjoys playing with her sissy, Penny Lane, although Penny is a bit on the bossy side with her. She loves belly rubs and running after the lizards with Penny Lane. Sometimes Lola likes her personal space, and will disappear into her GSD sister Nala’s giant crate; it’s so cozy in there with tons of pillows and she loves to nap in there. Lola Bell especially loves giving and receiving tons of kisses from both Foster Mom and Foster Dad. What a sweetheart!

UPDATED BIO 03/01/2013: Lola Bell and her sissy Penny Lane both had dentals yesterday and Lola only had one extraction ~ yippee! These girlies are ready to go to their forever homes!
UPDATED BIO 02/28/2013: Lola Bell just came into rescue today with her sister, Penny Lane; they are being fostered in North Port, FL. They were surrendered by their former owner who has had them since they were 12 weeks old, but due to an unfortunate change in her living condition, she was forced to give them up. Lola and Penny are both 5 years old; Lola is obese @ 13 lbs.4 oz and would be a healthier weight if she lost 3 lb; her Foster Parents will be working on that. Due to her obesity, Lola huffs and puffs all the time while walking around and this is definitely not healthy, especially for her joints.
Both girls were updated on their vaccines today and are HW negative (thank goodness!). They need dentals very badly as their mouths are infected, and they will receive the dentals tomorrow and be ready for adoption !
Lola and Penny Lane are both very sweet ~ it appears that Lola takes care of Penny who is more on the shy side. It would be best for the girls to have a home where someone is not gone long hours, as they have been used to their person being home all day. Lola loves to chase lizards. (and eat them – yuk!). She love attention and is more laid-back than Penny, but misses her “Sissy” and knows to look for her if she’s not around. The girlies look out for each other. Lola is a happy dog; her prior owner calls her ‘perfect’ and she also loves a good rub-down , as well as going to bed early. She loves to be pampered and spoiled ~what princess doesn’t? NOTE : These girlies have always been together and must be adopted together.
