My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lil' Man 1-2 years old, neutered, UTD on all shots, chubby 9 lbs, house-trained, leash trained, dog friendly, not tested with cats, loves people. Lil' Man was a stray at Lancaster, SC. He was skin on bones weighing only 6 lbs, he was terrified. It didn't take long and he was a lap dog. He is dog friendly, not tested with cats. He crates pretty good with my other tiny foster dog, but suffers from separation anxiety. I think, with training he would be a wonderful therapy dog or companion for a stay at home older person/couple. He just wants to be with his person.

other notes... He does want his person to himself, (while in my lap) I correct the protective behavior. He is a Velcro dog. Both little dogs sleep in the bed with me, under the covers. When in his own bed, he gets under the covers by himself. Because of being so starved, he over eats, he's a bit overweight now, so food intake needs to restricted. He will steal food if he can.

I also have to take him to PetSmart to get his nails trimmed.

The longer I have Lil' Man .. the more I think he would make a perfect dog to visit hospitals/nursing homes. He just wants to be in a lap... any lap.
