Tara's Story...
This beauty named Tara came to the shelter today because her owner cant take care of her anymore.

Tara is a real sweet dog, that is starving for attention. she walks nicley on the leash but still requieres some training. According to her prev. Owners she knows : sit, lay down and shake. She also has a seperation Anxiety and will whine when you leave her, thats also something to work on.

With a little bit of patience and some work, maybe obedience school tara would make a awesome family dog since she loves children all ages and other dogs. She is NOT good with cats.

Tara is 18 m old, intact, microchipped and UTD on her vaccines.

Tara 's Adoption Fee is $82, which includes: Microchip, Vaccines ( Distemper & Rabies), Heartwormtest and deworming.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tara, a Fort Riley Husky/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Collie for sale in Fort Riley, or seeking a Husky/Collie dog from a breeder in Fort Riley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Riley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Riley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Collie breeders who help with Husky/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Riley paves the way for another one to be saved.
