Mowgli's Story...
Mowgli is a beautiful 2 year "Old German Shepherd" that loves people and is very friendly around them.

Mowglie knows children but would do better if they are over the age of 8 since he is really hyper and will knock them down. He is housebroken, Kenneltrained and knows basic commands.

Mowgli needs a "Job", the reason he needs to find a new home is, that he started to "herd" the little son in the family and is very hyper, so he also needs alot of exercise and his current owner just cant meet his needs.

Mowgli would be a wonderful search and rescue dog ,also would he be perfect for Obedience or Herding.

Mowgli is NOT at the shelter and will remain with his current owner till he finds the "perfect" home. His Owner will meet potential Adopter for interviews you and a homecheck.

Mowgli has never been around cats, so we dont know how he would react.

Mowgli is UTD on his Vaccines but not microchipped or neutered yet and his fur requieres regular grooming to avoid matts!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mowgli, a Fort Riley German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Fort Riley, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Fort Riley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Riley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Riley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Riley paves the way for another one to be saved.
