Quilla's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Quilla's Story...
Quilla is an 8 year old, blue/red merle, australian shepherd, spayed
female. Quilla is microchipped, vaccinations current. She is house
trained, has good house manners, has leash, basic obedience training and
shakes hands. Quilla has been a house pet, not a working dog. She loves
to car ride. She is friendly toward new people. Gets along well with
other dogs and children. She tolerates cats. Quilla weighs 56 pounds.
She is mannerly for grooming including toenail trims. She is an active,
energetic dog with sound movement. Quilla has a chronic urinary tract
infection that can be kept under control by giving amoxicillin 7 days
out of 30 and daily hormone supplementation pills. KCFOA offers Quilla
on a "supported" adoption basis. KCFOA will pay for her necessary
continuing medications to control the urinary tract problem. Contact
Carolyn Melvin, 509 964 2234 or taneumhill@fairpoint.net for more
information or an appointment to meet Quilla.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Quilla, a Ellensburg Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Ellensburg, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Ellensburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ellensburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ellensburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ellensburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
