Sir Bandit's Story...
English Lab will melt your heart – Loyal Sir Bandit!

Hi, my name is Sir Bandit and I am a very loving and loyal purebred English Lab! Sadly, I ended up in a rural high kill shelter alone and afraid until Operation Paws for Homes gave me a temporary foster home in Annapolis, MD! I am such a good boy and I really love adults, children and dogs of all sizes. I weigh 74 pounds, I am neutered, up to date on all of my shots and the vet thinks I am around 4-6 years old! I love to explore the backyard and my favorite toy is a stuffed teddy bear that I carry around from room to room. My foster family says I am very smart because I learn new tricks, like how to "sit" for a treat, very easily. I would love nothing more than to have a family of my own, could it be with you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sir Bandit, a Frederick Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
