Piccolo's Story...
Sweet litlle Piccolo was rescued from a small, rural shelter in south west Virginia. Piccolo is Itailian for "small". She is about 2 years old, and weighs 5-6 lbs. She is possibly mixed with a minpin due to her docked tail, but we are not sure. She is very sweet, bonds quickly and follows her human everywhere. If you had the ability to hold her all day long, she would let you. She would be great for a stay at home mom with kids or a retired couple that had lots of time to spoli her. She does well with kids, cats and dogs, and although she has has a few minor accidents... she is considered housetrained. If you can give this precious baby a great new life and a wonderful home, please email us for information.

This pet is being fostered in Knoxville TN. Our orphans are delivered to the northeast every Saturday via USDA certified transport and come fully vetted with health certificates. All adoptions are tax deductible and include transport fees.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piccolo, a Brattleboro Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
