Ike, Mike, Spike & Lina's Story...
Chiquita's puppies were born March 2 just before her owner turned them all into BARC. The puppies don't look anything like Chiquita. Ike and Spike are white with tan, Spike has a tan spot on his side. They look like little Jack Russells. Mike is Tan and white an looks like a Chihuahua. Then the only little girl Lina is black and brown and the biggest of the bunch, not that that is so big! Spike is the spokesperson and was the first to climb their enclosure so is now in a normal crate with a top on it. The other three have not climbed out of the open enclosure. They are all eating dry puppy food two times a day.

Ike, Lena, Spike and Mike are around 3 months old and about 5lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.
Meet our dogs! They will be available for adoption at our weekend adoption venues!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ike, Mike, Spike & Lina, a Houston Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
