Phoebe - in Maine's Story...
Peyton and Phoebe are part of a litter of 6 who will be ready to come to us at the end of June. They started out very shy but are coming right out of their shells with love and attention. We think they are lab/aussie or lab/catahoula mixes. They are about 12 weeks old now (as of May 26th) and we can't wait to meet these happy pups!

To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe - in Maine, a kennebunkport Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in kennebunkport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in kennebunkport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in kennebunkport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a kennebunkport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in kennebunkport paves the way for another one to be saved.
