Ben's Story...
Meet Ben - Benjamin (Ben) is yellow lab mix puppy. We fixed him and his twin brother Bailey as part of our Denver Harbor Shotwell Street project. One day while touring the area, we found Bailey seriously injured, most likely hit by a car. We immediately took him to the vet. Thankfully Bailey will recover and we will eventually find him a forever home. However, we worried about Ben still living on the streets so we rescued him as well.
Ben has been neutered and fully vetted. He was born in early 2013 and when fully grown, will weigh around 45-50 pounds. He is very sweet and low key. He is still a little shy but warms up to people quickly. Can you consider giving this sweet boy a loving home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Houston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
