Information:

5/17/13: Hannah is a sweet little girl. She is small for a cocker, only 16 pounds at 9 years old! She is housebroken, good with people, and has been good with dogs. She has not met a cat here, but we have a bird and she does not seem to notice him.

She is very newly fully blind...she had her first eye removed some time ago, and just had the second removed. She was already a shy quiet personality and is now adjusting to her newly dark world....she likely would do best in an adult household, without young children and without very active dogs. She can become concerned if there is a lot of activity and retreats to her bed, and might shake a bit until she realizes all is well. She is also learning how to map space and can get turned around in a room until she follows your voice to the right area, so a lot of activity might be upsetting.

Hannah loves petting and will lay quite still to get more, sometimes just creeping up against your side to encourage you to continue. She is not at all pushy about affection, very low key.

She needs some help to jump start her appetite when she arrives in a new place, but then starts to eat better.

If you are looking for a sweet quiet girl, and have a quiet home to offer....consider Hannah!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hannah, a Spring City Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Spring City, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Spring City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring City paves the way for another one to be saved.
