Information:
5/09/13: Callie is an adorable black lab with just a hint of brown on the top of her head. Her coat is gorgeous and shines like velvet when the light hits it. She was found as a stray and turned into a shelter in TX. She is very playful and energetic, but is also a cuddler. She loves to be held after she has had a chance to burn off some of her energy. She rides exceptionally well in the car. She loves toys and absolutely loves to eat. She should be watched for eating too quickly. We use a mountain bowl or tennis balls, etc. in her food bowl to keep her from eating too quickly. She is very curious and loves to explore outside. She is learning how to walk on a leash and has learned the command for "sit." We are working on others. Callie loves frozen peanut-butter treats and it is her "addiction." Just the smell of the peanut butter gets her excited :-) We currently have another lab puppy at the house and the two of them love to play together. The play can escalate to being rough, so I would recommend Callie be placed with only larger dogs so that when she grows, the play is not too much for a smaller dog. She would love a family with a very active lifestyle that allows her to run and play with time for cozying up together afterwards.
