Melody's Story...
Lake Haven received an urgent plea from a shelter in Georgia requesting help with puppies and pregnant dogs. They were all scheduled to be euthanized and Lake Haven stepped in to help. These beautiful puppies and dogs arrived at Lake Haven on April 28, 2013. All were medicated, bathed, fed, and placed in foster care. Melody had 6 beautiful puppies in May and is now available for adoption. Melody is house trained, already knows several commands, and loves people. She's very easy to have around the house and has a very sweet, loving personality. She loves to go for walks and would probably enjoy short runs. She does not like other dogs or cats very much. If you have a home with older children or just adults and no dogs or cats, Melody would be a wonderful addition to your home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melody, a Newaygo Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
